Do not have the money to replace radiator.Does not leak.Have cooling issues.Will muriatic acid hurt the radiator.
 
Maybe if you leave it in there for a long time you could have an issue but for a flush I'd say no. My buddy did a flush with it years ago and never had any issues. I think the Prestone flush kits contain muriatic acid anyway.
 
I used fresh water and lime away in my duster and ran it a day and then flushed it.
 
Did the prestone flush last summer.Not doing anything until it warm up.
 
I have a '66 Belvedere as well and I had cooling issues too. I had the radiator re-cored and the shop said that the radiator had about 80% buildup/blockage. The car is running nice and cool now.
