The switch turns the motor on to one speed only. But after that it continues to rotate, with no effect on the speed of the wiper. I read there is a single, two and intermittent system on these cars. There are four wires going from the harness, to the motor.

It sounds like a variable speed switch. It may be bad or the motor is not correct. I've seen 2 speed and variable speed setups in 67 b bodies. I can't open the pictures you posted for some reason.

I gotta believe these are the correct parts, as this is a one owner car. The numbers of wires to the motor don't help ?

Don't know if they are different but my 66 has the variable speed wiper setup and looks like it has the 4 wire system. And I've never seen an intermittent system on these old cars before....at least not from the factory. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

2 speed or 3 speed.

The "variable" portion of the 3 speed is on the high speed setting- oops.

Could have been a ground breaker.
