67 BII - had 383, has 440, transmission kick down problems

Do you not need the other spring on the throttle? Or are you trying to go Toyota?:edgy:

LOL no dont need it. Theres more than enough tension to pull the throttle back. With the other spring installed with the supplied ones in the kit, the pedal was kinda hard so i removed it and its perfect!

Well great then. I haven't even started mine yet and the pedal did feel a little stiff... but I figured " hey it's a man car "

Sorry for no reply. I've been offline since last Friday. (a part of the story I think I left out of my "What a ride" thread). Anyway, the factory stud for the cable and kickdown would normally attach where you had your return spring hooked in.

Naturally this is moot since you got the Lokar and have it hooked up. But it isn't adjusted correctly. If your trans is shifting as late as you say under "normal" acceleration, then you have it a bit to snug.

Looks like exactly what I need also! Isn't there a adapter bracket that you need for the edlebrock carbs, for the kickdow cable?
