I know all about engine timing. And I know you can do a compression test as long as you can crank the motor over it doesn't need to start. I also know I wiped out cam when I see one[/QUOTE/]

Indeed I could start it if I wanted to risk wiping out the keith black pistons and rods from a swallowed valve. Indeed after pulling the valve covers we did crank it over and run it again all very nice (22+ in. stable vac.) until l shutdown ..... then valve seat clatter OR cracked rocker shaft pylons. Nice-n-fine cold.
