Someone knowledgeable please help with the information void in my head lol...... See the posted example. I can see the car has had some bodywork done....you can actually see the sandmarks in that decent looking paint job. Question is; did someone likely remove the side trim?? I thought, maybe totally incorrectly, that the wide lower moulding was really the hallmark of a 67 Coronet 500. Am I flat out wrong? Or could this have been ordered without it?? (there is a pic of the option tag). My assumption is that someone did'nt like it, or it was in rotten shape and they took it off.

You are correct. Someone wanted to make-a- da money, without spending a cent.

Trim was all removed, it came standard on a Coronet 500. They are sharp looking rides when done up right.

Hard to find pieces for for it, just like 67 Satellite. They are all anodized aluminum so it will go bad if left sitting in a field, and will dent easily. But so many are made into clones that there should be lots of trim out there for these.

Just looking on my phone so not the best but I think I could see the holes for the wheel opening moldings that have been omitted along with the body moldings. Probably didn't have them or didn't/couldn't find replacements. Can be spendy if found.

If the Coronet 500 that I recently sold had, had the side molding, I would have kept it. It was long gone when I bought the car. @R413 is correct, all 500's came with the trim.

I have the trim, but I never owned the car. Maybe we should have talked sooner lol. :drinks:

That's a terrible ad.

Let's start with "no modifications".

Like the 390 stroker, or the removed trim?
Anything else?

...and they're calling it a "Charger 500"?

Pass.
