Hey guys,
I found a 67' Coronet real cheap, No pictures yet. But it has a 383,727 and 8.75 rear and i'm wondering if they would fit on my Satellite? If it's not a rusted up i'd be very tempted to restore it.
Anyways thanks,
~Nick

Yeah, it'll all bolt right up but I'm not sure if there's a difference in the wheelbase or not....but that would only affect drive shaft length. If your Satellite is the one in your sig, then you'll have to take the under hood wiring harness (or take the stock one apart and make the changes) from the Coronet since it's a bit different between the big block and small block. Radiator will probably be different too. You shouldn't have any problems since everything you'll need is on the 'parts' car....

Thanks Cranky, Yeah thats my Satellite in the sig. Based on the homepage here it says my Satellite is 116" and the Coronet is 117". Dumb question but if thats the case can i slide the motor an inch back or would that cause more problems? The owner hasn't called me back, Hope it's still for sale.

In order to do that you would need to fabricate some motor mounts, this to me would see a lot more difficult than ordering a custom lenght drive shaft.

Hopefully that 67 is restorable and you can keep both, you wont regret having the 67 coronet - you sure dont see a lot of them!

IF the drive shaft is a bit on the short side in the Coronet, then it might fit the Satellite better. I've seen that happen more than a few times and 440brew is right about the hassles of moving the engine back.

Thanks, not sure what's going on called the guy twice and left messages it must be sold and he doesn't feel like deleting his post or he's very busy...

I think drive trains the same but spindles are one located 1 inch different, using the sattelite k may make it right

There's no difference in the K's between the two.....

I read somewhere that the difference is in the rear spring hanger, and that it was kind of a marketing gimmick to always list the Dodges as having a 1" longer wheelbase.

Take that for what it's worth.

I don't think the driveshafts are different between Dodge/Plymouth for the same engine/trans/rear combo.

I think everything will bolt up fine and you won't even notice.

I have both a Coronet and a Belvedere. Satellilte is the same car platform as the Belvedere but anyways, I don't see anything different in the hangers between the two....guess I could measure the two but the Belvedere doesn't have a stock axle in it anymore.
