Finally retrieved the car from my recalcitrant bodywork man, (3 1/2 months) and it actually turned out pretty good. I had him fill all the trim holes and straighten out the body. It's ready block out and get prepped for paint. Still not set on color beyond a 2-tone of some type. I've got a bunch of little things to get squared away, but the car runs and drives now. Progress, none the less.
Got an offer on the Coronet that was too good to pass on. Will use the proceeds to try to pry my old '69 Roadrunner from my brother's hands. Stay tuned.
Took a year and a half, but it looks like I'm half owner (with my brother) in my old '69 RoadRunner. This should be fun. The attached pic is from 1984, it has since decayed a bit but has been inside a garage the entire time.
Fortunately the car has been stored inside a dry garage for the better part of 20 years. Slight surface rust in trunk, no holes. I was the 2nd owner when I bought the car in 1972 (for $645) from my then girlfriend's brother. I drove/raced it for 10 years and sold it to my little brother in 1982. He drove it a bit then got a Dodge Colt to commute to work. He parked it when the brakes went out.
