67 Headliner

Got my headliner in the mail, looks awesome, was lining up a guy to do it and realized I dont know if the glass has to come out..?? Can anyone tell me if we can do the headliner with the glass still in the 67 Satellite?? Cars in paint so I cant look... Anyone know? Thanks fellas!

Almost impossible to get it looking good with the windshield in. I have done it with the rear glass in, PITA, but doable.

Back glass can stay in, windshield should come out. The windshield gasket covers the spikes that hold the headliner along the front edge. You may be able to pull the gasket back and shove the headliner up onto the spikes but it might be tough. Did mine with the windshield out. Be patient. Close the door to the house so the kids can't hear you swear.

X2 on the swearing LOL. I have done a few as well with the glass in and yes it is doable.......how is your front glass? If it has any chips or bad marks on it maybe it might be an idea to replace it and have the headliner done right at the same time.

Hey thanks guys! That was a good write up rtriv, but Im chicken, Im going to have a guy do it, I dont want to buy two headliners!
