Ive been redoing my 67 for a while now about 4 yrs these cars always take longer than you lol think. Im the 2nd owner was 100% original when I got it but in time needed to freshen it up and take care of some rust now its getting close to being done . Its a white car with copper interior
The interior is in real good shape it needs head liner , carpet, and front seat covers The rest is in great shape , I do over think everything and Im wondering on your folks thoughts I know the copper is not common so its a bit different an I like that, but a white car with red interior is one of my favorites so bouncing back n forth of changing the color to red even though it will cost a bunch more
The car is mostly stock and original, engine 30 over with mild purple power cam but mostly everything else same as it was in 1967 I drive the car is not a show car and will still be driven with fresh paint and ext metal work
Just adding how I over think ,Ok going to repaint well lets freshen engine was thinking about really building up but Nope ,ok maybe header ,Nope kept same factory manifolds , change a/c to modern Nope kept factory, lol When I have things apart I think about changes
So change the Int color for preference or keep original ?

I would stay with the copper interior. It helps preserve value and there is quite a bit of work and expense in doing a complete interior color change over, particularly when it sounds like some of the original interior is still good for re-use.

I love a red interior ,Its your car so do what makes YOU happy. I do the same when Im working on my charger. Do this do that and always come back to make it stock.

It’s your car, build it the way you want. Personally I’m also a fan of the white over red interior. That is what my 66 Charger has. On the other hand there is nothing wrong with the copper color and it too is an attractive combination with a white car.

I’m OK with red too. Just now freshening up my GTX one. But it’s the original color for my white car.

I really like the copper interior, because it is not seen that often. I was at a local Mopar show, and a '67 Hemi GTX showed up. It was white with copper painted top and copper interior. I thought it was breathtaking.

Leave it stock. It will look great. Especially since most of the copper is still useable will make it easier on you. Copper is the hardest to find interior parts for that car, next is red.

Now look at the interior, every piece needs to be changed to swap colors. Nothing is black but the dash plastic. Are you ready for that expense and challenge?

Not an exact comparison but one of the prettiest C2 Corvettes I remember seeing over the years was a freshly restored white 65 convertible with a saddle interior and top. And that was about 15 years ago.

I did price the change and choked quite a bit lol and the things I dont need to replace or fix have amazed me on this one. It is kinda amazing on how great the Interior is after 56 yrs. We had very little rust to deal with found more after stripping down but not much. And I dont like spending $ if I dont need to.
Most weather stripping is still good and Im reinstalling it, even the wire harnesses are all still good I thought for sure I would be replacing things like that once I removed them but just cleaned em up real good and will reinstall
I guess it due to being in a car port covered or my garage since 1974
I know folks like pics I havent taken any Ill take a few when I pull it out of the spray booth
