68 1/2 ROADRUNNER clone

Drew any progress or updates ?? what did you decide on the engine & induction combos ?? I'm just curious

sorry its been a while guys, but Ive been out on the road quite a bit lately and havent had a chance to wrench on the car much. Ive been considering going with an aftermarket block for the engine build. Im thinkin 540 with dual fast tbi but id like some feed back on the reliability of the fast stuff with larger cams. I got the 5 speed install mocked in with an old engine block. It took me a while to get the trans stuff from keisler but it all went together smoothly with the only snag being the wrong x-member sent in the kit but the guys took care of the problem quickly and i should have the driveshaft waiting on me when I get home today. Im still waiting on the dash cluster from instrument specialites and I can button up the dash board. with any luck she will fire by Christmas ( fingers crossed)

Car looks good. Like the color. What you doing to that Dodge pickup
That truck is my brothers. He was putting a 4 speed in it out of an old roadrunner. trans works great but on the first drive he had a valve stick in the guide. Apparently its a common problem with the heads he bought. heads off and gone to the machine shop.

Good luck on the Christmas fire up! Its a beautiful car love the color!!

Boy you got that right but I knew I was going to have to sell a kidney to get exactly what I wanted. Fuel injection in the future but I'm going to have to save my lunch money for sure.

Guys I need some ideas on sizes of slicks/ wheel combos to fit under the stock wheel tubs. The car will be primarily street driven but I would like to have a set for track day. Any pics also appreciated.

Better folks on here that could recommend slicks for you (I have a set of the Nitto drag radial's-definitely not the best slick for the strip, but will run on the road). Don't know if this a very good pic to show profile, but I run a 275/60/15 in the back. Rim is a 8" width with 4.5" backspacing. I have just under an inch of clearance in the outer wheel well area and just under and inch in by the axle/CalTrac's system. Not tubbed. No rubbing. Good luck!

I will try to get some more pics posted today. I just got my gauge cluster back from instrument specialties. It looks great! I also ordered my radiator/electric fan combo from wizard cooling and exhaust from tti. I should be pretty close to having all my ducks in a row in preparation for the motor. Next is the fuel system.
