I’ve been lurking around this forum for sometime now and decided it’s time to join and get into an old Mopar. Always wanted a 68-70 GTX, learned a bunch from this site already. Don’t have the patience or time to do another full restoration project anymore so I’m looking for a car that is turnkey or super solid in need of finishing or TLC. I’m in the home stretch on a multi year frame off 66 GTO tri power car and will need something different to tinker on. I keep my cars, drive them occasional car shows, indoor storage, fair weather driver etc.

Might consider a Roadrunner however liked the buckets & console and 440s that are in most GTX’s. Not hung up on numbers matching but nice to have. I kinda like the factory look just want a nice street driver.

Please message me if you have something for consideration, my price range is open based upon year & condition have a decent understanding of todays values. I’m not a Mecum or Barrett Jackson prime time kinda buyer nor am I looking to sell or trade anything. Just an enthusiast looking to check off another bucket list item.

Thank you for reading my post.

Could be interested. Almost done a 1970 GTX. See story in Photo Garages...June.30/2024.
Are you keeping the GTO or can that be part of a del?

I’ve owned seven of them. Chased the current one for 50 years. Sold exactly what you are looking for three years ago. From my experience you can get a nice one reasonably priced, but you need to be patient.

One of my former cars is in your neck of the woods. RS23L9A215848. If it hits the market, you should grab it.

I’m going to keep the 66 GTO, original Barrier Blue, Parchment interior Tri-power 4 Speed car. It’s not quite done, but too many years chasing parts not to keep. Car was nearly best you could get in 66 with options however beat, blown up and pushed into barn for 24 years. Was only $400 car in 1979 not running maybe less. I put in full 1 pc trunk and replaced drivers quarter panel, body otherwise is very nice just some small dents. Rotisserie nut and bolt for last 7 years as time and money permitted, it’s now family .

Looking for a GTX that’s nice driver, take to car shows or cruises etc. Your garage post looks like it’s going to be a very nice car. Message me if you’re going to let it go!

Thanks for the advise!

I keep finding Satellites cloned which is fine but asking GTX money. I’m open to many colors and options over 3 years 68-70 so I think you’re right they are out there. Doesn’t have to be numbers car just complete no more basket cases this point in my life.

Nice!

Not a lot of action in Michigan it’s cold and snowy but spring is coming cars will get listed. Many cars that lived here are rusted so I know a southern/western car will eventually pop up that meets my needs. I love working on stuff that unbolts, cutting torches and PB Blaster is no fun anymore. Looking for nice driving car that’s not a mud buggy. I’d consider a repair project but needs to be complete. I have zero spare Mopar parts as I’m new to the B Body’s, just like the style more as I’ve aged.
