for my 68 gtx , what side should the upper rad hose be on, i've seen pictures on the drivers side, but i keep finding rads that have them on the passengers side, which should it be???? or did they have both???

My 26" radiators have the upper hose toward the pass side.

did they come with 22 inch rads? which is correct for a 68 gtx /440/auto car????

26" rads only with ac, performance axle package and there might have been 1 other option that included the bigger rad, max cooling or a towing package?

Detmatt is correct.
These '68 GTXs came with a 22" standard unless any of those options were selected.

Detmatt is correct. Also 68 b bodies with 4spd 22 in is 2898043. Cars with auto 22in is 2898045

Mines on the pass upper side. I did see it on the right once when a guy had one for sale, that radiator turned out to be for a truck, same size but different locaton on top hose connection.

You know, when I was hunting for an aftermarket replacement, I was looking on Ebay, and saw quite a few listings where the inlets were in the wrong spot. After contacting a seller, it turned out he had a picture up from a different application. Another seller had accidentally reversed the image. Not sure where you're seeing these radiators with the inlet and outlet reversed, but that could be one reason why.

are you guys finding the 22 inch rad cools good enough?

I got one out of a c body. Itis 3 core and 26 inch. The only problem is the lower hose was on the wrkng side. I just got a flexable lower hose
