Hi All,

Here is a pic of my 68 charger after picking it up from the soda blaster.
It's my first real restoration, may have bitten off a little more than i can chew but here it goes... this sites already proved a super useful resource.. thanks to the people who have already posted comments and helpful advice...

I'll be posting updates as I make progress.. its now at the panel shop, with a few new panels; roof skin, new quarters one fender and a deck lid.
My plan with the car is to build a solid street car, big block with fat rubber on the rear. One I can get in and really enjoy as much as possible. We don't get many 68's or chargers on the whole in OZ, so this one will be out and about beating the Mopar drum...

Thanks again.....

Wow, Congrats on your rebuild! I'm glad to see the effects of Soda blasting first hand; and compare these results to what I do. The roof glue is always hard to remove, but for the blasted to send the car back with all the glue on it?

Nice car,if that is vinyl top glue on the roof ,the best thing to remove it is gasoline

Looks like a great car to build and I like your plans for it.

Keep in mind the "soda" used to strip the car is costic to metal and you'll need to remove and/or neturalize whats left on, or in the car VERY thourghly. If you don't take the percaution you may find your paint bubbling 6-12 months down the road.

Keep us posted on the build and good luck.

Thanks guys.
The roof was that bad we decided not to even blast it. We left it as is because the only thing that would fix it was a new roof skin. So i have since picked up a new roof skin from AMD.

i have a few small peices to pull out of the engine bay and the panel work will begin... I will try get a bit of an update when we start chopping panels...
cheers and feedback an interest... !!!
