hey guys i am new here. I spent lots of years on fabo. I owned a nice 68 dart and sold it today. I am looking at a 68 charger that needs rear frame rails and cross member. The guy has the parts. The car looks solid otherwise.it is a non matching 440. With console shift auto. I can get the car for aproxx 17000.am i over paying? I plan on doing the floor work myself thanks

Are you sure the rest is solid? Seems a little high for amount of work that needs to be done. Welcome & pics would help.

I know it seems high. But all the 68 to 70 chargers in ontario are. I will see if i can get some pics thanks

Welcome too the site Darren! Congrat's on your sale of your '68 Dart. 17K for a Charger that needs rails and X-member, non original with an auto.....IMO, I'd have a really hard time buying that for half the price, but I don't live in your neck of the woods. That car would sit for sale for a pretty long time around here for that kind of lute. I wouldn't let that new found cash from the Dart burn a hole in your pocket. The right car will come along for the right price. Heck, there's a 2nd gen charger on this site getting restored that the guy paid $500 bucks for. Good luck.

Welcome. I agree, that's pretty high for what you described. I personally would not buy one that needed frame/structural work unless I was getting a great deal or the car was an ultra rare one. There has to be better deals out there.
