@The Rebel, if your looking for correctness, the original hood pads were molded to match the contours of the under hood support bracing. The hood pads that you reference are a die cut fiberglass style mat that will work fine and is more than half the price of the molded pads. The molded pads are also quite a bit more to ship due the size of them and that they have to be shipped flat vs the generic mats which can be rolled up into a small package. So if correctness is important, be aware of what you are ordering. Only two different manufacturers of the molded pads, REM and Repops.

For hood pad clips, the metal clips for your car was used from 66 to 71. There is at least three different manufactures of these clips and none of them work as well as the originals. If possible, source out good originals. The plastic clips look nothing like the metal clips, but are much easier to use.

Thank you very much! Yes, looking for OEM style padding.

Are these the companies you were referring to? Neither of them list prices.

REM Automotive, INC
Repops Automotive Reproductions

Any good leads on OEM clips?

Looking to get a kit and saw on DMT that these are offered with metal clips as well as plastic clips.

The websites wording is confusing so what clips are correct for a 68 Charger?

Thanks in advance!

I think I about broke my thumb trying to install those metal clips, They will chip your paint up as well. I went to NAPA and bought some plastic "christmas tree" style clips. They worked way better and I didn't need to be nut and bolt original.

I assume so Roger, seeing the RJL part number. I'd have to dig through 6 year old paperwork to find an invoice.

As for REM, they do not sell direct... only through vendors.
Thanks Wayne. I'll reach out to them to confirm if those are the correct ones for a 68 Charger.

Another question. I assume all cars had these when assembled at the plant, right?
