68 Charger - Hood Insulation

Now, i get why you want to return to original, so it can be original.

But my 70 charger does not have it and i dont know why i would want to add it in? Sound? i like the sound of the engine. Wouldnt it keep the engine compartment temps higher?

maybe thats good in a cold climate but i like in Texas, would there be any reason why i want hood insulation?

My Superbird was sold in Texas. FULL undercoat and hood pad.

In my opinion the pad makes the engine bay look more presentable / finished.

To keep the car original, especially on a Superbird.

My 69 Charger had the hood pad will full undercoating. There was electrical fire in my engine bay, the hood pad saved the hood from warping.
