68 Charger R/T

Hey my68rocks, welcome to the site and congrats on joining the charger put it back together again jungle! We’ll have to trade Charger R/T restore stories… According to your fender tag you should have a 3:23 gear in your rear end (AX = 4). If the car is an auto it should be a 8 ¾ axel. I can’t tell form your pic what kind of axel is on the car. Can you post a better pic?

Thanks SGT Paul, that is the only pic I have at the moment, Im currently deployed to Bahrain. (Navy) So with lots of time on my hands and having a new toy I cant play with is frustrating! It is an automatic, and i have decoded the fender tag. I thought 8 3/4 rear end didnt have bolts on the back side?

We salute you Saylor!! Thanks for doing what you do! :headbang: You must be going crazy not being able to play with your new toy???

Yes the 8 3/4“ has a solid rear cover and no bolts. It looked like yours is a bolt on cover but hard to tell in the pic. The pic below is my Dana (9 ¾”) which doesn't look like yours either. You probably have an 8 ¼” or smaller. You can pic up an 8 ¾” with a posi that needs rebuilding for $300 +/-.
