Flat hood, several engine/transmission combinations. Most are 318s but you could get a 383-2 or 4 bb. They did share similar trim with the R/T. Here's a link to the 68 data book so you can see how they were equipped: http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/dealerships/1968DealershipDataBook-01.shtml

I think Wikipedia is off base about the 318 A (poly) being available in '68. Or the 361.

Hay thanks. I thought they had a bulge hood? I'm sure I will post pics of it for you all.

68 Coronet 500, not like the R/T or Super Bee, it's similar but not the same

Looked at the car. Very straight. But the floors are gone. Comes with new floors and every part needed for the car. And a running 400. Small rust in trunk. All in all its a nice car.only $2000. Think I'd better get it!

Yeah the body is nice. The floors and rockers of rusted out. But the car comes with all the metal need to fix it. Heck it come as a complete car.even a running 400

Column shift 500 trim is kinda unusual.

Buckets and buddy seat?

Also common on 500's were 383-2 motors and a/c, plus a fair to good chance of p/w and rear defrost.

Looks solid.

Red, black, or white inside?

Really?

I'd say about 80% of all 500 trim level cars I've seen have been buckets, and of those another 80% have been floor shift.

was pretty sure the "500" model had buckets standard, but you could option them out.

Where does that chart show interior production figures?

I suppose we should clarify we are talking about 2 door cars...

Buckets were standard, and AFAIK, the only seats available in the 500 HT. I don't know that I've ever come across a '68 500 HT with a bench seat.
Bench was standard in the convertible with the buckets optional.

The only cars that would not be column shift automatics are the console cars. Using other O&A reports as a guideline for take rates on the console option, console production probably did not exceed 50% of the production.

I guess you lost me.

You said "most were 318-2 column shift cars".

I guess that doesn't specify buckets.

I still say most 2 door, non convertibles were floor shift (std or not), but I don't have the numbers.

Does that brochure say buckets and "arm rest" were standard on 4 door?

I honestly can say I've not seen many if any at all of those.

Yeah. This car was a 318. Red with white top and interior
