68 coronet 500

Nice find MB68, like it was just waiting for you. Tail panel and tail light restoration looks good, any tricks to taping off the vertical bars on the tail panel?

Yeah. You don't see many 68 500s. As for the finish panel, I just tappet it then cut the the shape of the bar with a razor blade.

looking good nice work keep us posted on your progress

Definitely a solid start. Funny how the car looks solid but the bumper is horrible. Did not fair well at all. Congratulations on the find though not your everyday B body.:icon_thumleft:

Got her home! Let the work begin

Excellent work on the tail lights and finish panel brother ! I'll be following

Thank you! I love doing stuff like that. Also, I plan to keep it a 500. But give it my touch. Satin black some nice chrome five stars. I'm going to get it put together as a driver. Then slowly add to it. Like upgrade breaks, gauges ext. If I had the funds I'd go all out on it. But I just want a driver for now. First, I need to put the floors in it!

Lucky the car came with floor pans. Just need to trim and fit them in. Not before I POR 15 the crap out of the frame!

glad to hear you're keeping it a 500. with all the bee and R/T clones, the 500s are scarce.

Yeah, I've always wanted a super bee. But you just don't see 68 500's.

Got the rocker done today.

Lookin good man!

Not to rain on your parade but you might want to take your deer to the vet, it's head fell off. The other one may have vertigo.

Thanks guys. And the headless deer let's all the other deer know not to go in my garden. ;)

Sweet. I will also be following this build as I just picked up a 68 Coronet 500 wagon. It also has rust in the floors. Do you know what other floor pans can be used as donors for the 68 Coronet?
