I have edited my post because I was confused about what was/is missing from my car. So, now I am looking for any of the plastic bezels that go around the face of the radio, above the glove box, or to the left of the speedometer on a non-rally dash (with a/c) I need the type used on a 68 R/T. I tore this car apart as soon as I got it and have been scratching my head wondering where I would have put the bezels. Then I remembered the p.o. Put diamond tuck vinyl everywhere, including the dash. Thanks

68 Coronet RT non rallye should be a woodgrain dash trim set. This is the proper radio plate for 68 GTX.

Looking for the plastic piece that goes around the face of the radio on a non-rally dash (if that matters). I need one of the flat black type used on an R/T. I don't know which models were different, but I know that the one from a Coronet 440 is not what I need as they were glossy. Please let me know a total if possible to 94559. Thanks
I have a 68 r/t an it has the gloss plastic over the ribs, also non ralley dash, i have a unpainted ribbed bezel you could paint its mint condition $ 45 an i will cover the shipping, i have paypal also

I don't think that is correct. I believe that woodgrain wasn't an option on non-rally dashes for 68 Coronets. I could certainly be wrong though.

Sending you a PM.

After doing my homework I now realize that these are practically non-existant. Just my luck. If anyone knows anyone who might have some stashed, or even NOS ones, I would be grateful for the information.

I agree. A R/T wouldn't have woodgrain.

This is an early car with the padded ash tray and the '67 type steering wheel. It would also have round vent knobs like a '67. I think all non-rallye '68's had a delete for the center A/C vents if not equipped with A/C. None of them got the center pad like rallye dash cars or non-rallye 69-70's did.

I believe this is the radio bezel you are searching for…

From my research, 68 500 could have had wood grain, but not R/T, again, my googling doesn't mean much as far as accuracy. On my 68 the ash tray is padded, the slide down type with roller bearings in parallel rails. Mine was an AC car so it has the center vent and the corner vents, which helps because I really only need the hockey stick part over the glove box, and the small part on the far right side of the instrument cluster. I think the radio bezel from a 440 model is the same (although mine is cracked).

I think you are right. I have one with a small crack between the numerals and the push buttons. It could be used if I could find the other two pieces, which might be wishful thinking.
