68 coronet rt not mine

I will just address the visible rust issues on the shell....... 250 +/- honest labor hours piecing it together using new aftermarket metal, pick a price per hour, and add up the parts..... that does not include any cowl, hinge pillar, or front rail issues...........plus you need decent doors, fenders, ect

someone here can correct me if I am wrong; but if a 4 door uses the same rails and pans, I'd be on the lookout for a clean solid donor, and use the entire belly and rails as a unit ........ obviously a 2 door donor would work, but would cost more and the rebody nazis would be on high alert
So roughly $40,000 in labor, plus parts. Add the $15,000 for the car, plus $10-12 Grand for motor and trans rebuild. Looking at 100 large for a great resto?

it adds up quickly....... clean donor sections can save a ton on parts and take a good chunk out of labor...... but the donor parts must be clean, straight, rust free, and not broken apart

The average person looking at that R/T would not have noticed that frame rot and possibly bitten off more than they can chew.

If I had a rust free 4 door belly, I'd offer 7k for the car, if other things check out........ but as a keeper, not a money maker

i went back and looked again, deck lid may be ok as it is not original to the car, i'd like to see the underside of the hood........ I actually like the car and it can be saved, just have to be smart about it to avoid a total monetary disaster

That's a late '67 air cleaner. It would be interesting to see the build date.

Lynch Rd oct 24........ same plant and day as my GTX..... hmmmmmm

It is remarkably unmolested for a true muscle car. And it got a wicked amount of rust. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a one or two owner car.
