68 Coronet w/ 2012 charger tail lights

Hey guys new to posting. Just wondering if anyone has tried or seen new 2011-2013 tail lights in a 68. I have a 68 Coronet I will be attempting it on.. the measurements are almost spot on. Let me know your thoughts.

I'm torn on the thought of doing that. On the one hand it's a 68 Coronet and they have cool tail lights already. On the other hand it would make the car one of a kind and may look cool in itself. I'd have to see it first. The final thought........ It's your car and do whatever makes you happy.

That's sort of cool. I would have never thought the tail lights were the same length or even that close.

OAL is within 1/8". They are almost to tall..the weather striping rail need to move up and bottom of trunk trimmed to match the curve. I ordered the lights 2 days ago. Its was a 318 car. Now fiber glass front end, bumpers and mini tub. So I'm not worried about cutting it up. Thanks for the input

I would like to see that punisher charger with the new charger tail lights. Love the thin strip of running lights around the tail lights at night running Down the freeway. Very cool.

Go for it mate! There is nothing wrong with a bit of individuality every now and again, it keeps people thinking and is overall healthy for the hobby!

Thanks for the input. Ill post pics soon. Just got the lights in and I got a good idea how they will fit.. just got to start cutting. Anyone got a line on a 68 coronet trunk..mine was RUSTY I took the time to patch all the rust and I hate to cut it up again cause I know how hard they are to fine. Some one needs this out there.

Update. I cut the deck lid..sry tallhair. Felt kind of bad while cutting it but just tired of dealing with rust.
