Latest update on what I got done. Should be done soon.

looks like it's fitting in there real snug.

That is some crazy lookin fabricating that you're doing! I said it before and I'll say it again, I can't wait to see this one done. That is some awesome work you're doing and it's going to look killer when its done. What color is the car going to be?

I was interested to see if the outer edges of the tail light would look out of place against the shape of the quarter extension, but you've done an awesome job so far blending the two. Looking forward to seeing it finished! What're your plans with the rest of the car?

I think those taillights will look better on the back of the Coronet than they ever did on the new Charger. Thank you for doing such quality metal work. This SOUNDS like the kind of job an amateur might try. It IS the kind of job that should only be done by someone with mad skeels.

Thanks guys. All the metal work I did is with a hammer, dolly and a vise. The paint is goin to be Copperhead Pearl 2013 Charger LC/FLC

Looking absolutely Great! Keep up the good work and keep us posted on the progress, you have done a fantastic job so far.
Matt

When I bought the car it was wrecked and didn't have the front pass frame rail on it. Replaced frame rail, inner fender, core support, floor pans, trunk extensions and rear support in back of bumper...RUSTY. I made subframe connectors and mini tubbed it and moved the springs in 3". Fiberglass fenders, 6 pac hood, and bumpers. I have a 440 rebuilt, (nothing extreme) 400HP, for now. 8-3/4 3.91 posi rebuilt. Wilwood on all 4 corners. Polyurethane front end and front and rear sway bars. Going to run a set of police wheels stock front, 15X12 rear w/ 390/45/15 M&H radials. And I am planning on putting challenger headlights in it next.

Sounds like it's gonna be awesome, what width are the front police wheels? And did you just widen the rears to 12"? Really looking forward to seeing this one continue to come together, the Challenger headlights sound interesting too

The fronts are stock 7" I think. And I was going to widen them but I couldn't find a shop to do it cost effectively. I did find themopardude.com has 15x12's for $180 each. I could do it myself, I work in a full machine shop but the owner is real weird about "government" work.

Ah well that should look good, 7-8" is a good looking width for 68-70 b bodies. I'be got 17x8 up front on my car

Has anyone seen/have pics of a B-body with new challenger headlights and or grille? Just wanted to see if it has been done and what it looks like. I just got a set of headlights and a full grille assembly in today and plan on putting them in my 68 Coronet. Should look good with the Charger tail lights. And it will fit..with some work.

Can't say I've ever seen or heard of that being done before.. do you have any renderings or mock-up pictures? I really like the original grille so it'd be interesting to see what it would look like :thinker:

No pics yet. Just eyeballed it for a few to see how much I need to trim. The shop was 100+ deg. so I didn't do much. I have seen a pic of a purple challenger with the headlights.

Ah yeah I feel for ya, my shop has been the same way the past few weeks, usually don't go to work on my car til around 9pm lol. NT yeah if you can get just a rough mocked up eyeballed pic that would be awesome

As in new challenger grille and headlights in an old one?

Finished pretty much all the fab work today. Ran out of welding wire.

That's crazy!! I can't wait to see this finished, I think it's going to look good :headbang:

I just started to fit the headlights. Might be a bit trickier than I first thought. I got fiberglass fenders on the car and have to fit the headlight housings in them and attach them some how. Ill get some pics once I get it mocked up.
