the car i bought has like 3 inch wheel studs in the rear , and i would like to go to stock length, can anyone tell me what size the stock stud knurl should be? wondering if these axles have been drilled if these studs are thicker

Stock would be 1/2" x 20 studs.

You could run an open end lug nut down to the desired length and cut the 3" stud off with a cut off wheel then back the nut off to clean the thread and dress the end of the stud with a disc grinder

Good luck finding L.H. thread though.

actually kinda funny went to my local dodge dealer and asked if they might have any , he took me in the back to where he said they had a box of old wheel studs, didn't find any rh threads ones , but the box was full of lh thread ones with nuts that were brand new, snagged them all up . kinda cool after all these years that they still had this stuff
