I have a 68 Fury 111 4spd convertible that has the VIN on the 4spd and the 383

I read on another site that in ‘68, only the performance engines got the VIN stamps, so you should be OK for the one you’re looking for.

that belief has been debunked.

VIN stampings on 68's is an incredibly under researched topic in the hobby leading to many mis beliefs and wrong info.

I have a 383 block casting date 11/30/67
There is no vin stamping on the rails, and D383 on the upper pad. Casting number 2468130-9 LL. It’s for sale if it helps.
Also have a 383 long block date of casting 11/24/67 also no vin stamp. D383
