Did anyone save their original sheet metal from their car.
I did for reference but I can’t toss it for some unknown reason.
I guess my wife was right about me being a hoarder. Lol

you can store that crap outside, it won't completely disintegrate in our life time :poke:

All my metal issues were caused by washing powders being transported in the trunk. No rust, the caustic in the washing powders ate the bottom of the 1/4s and the trunk pan out. The car has been in SC and NC since new.

Similar to what happened with my GTX when it was washed every day when it was a daily driver. The undercarriage was preserved in mint condition, but all the typical trouble spots prone to water leak damage paid the price. Upside was that all the rusted metal was replaced with OEM during the 15 years the car was owned by the dealer.

There was a time that when I built a car, I had enough parts for it, to just short of build another. When I sold it, everything went with it, like it or not.
I know the feeling. I gave sooo many parts away when selling a car. Stupid me. :BangHead:

It's part of the package deal. A real incentive to buy and get it all gone for the next one. I don't run a parts house!!

You wanna hang up a extra 71 plymouth rr/satty/gtx bumper? It's taking up way too much space in the garage, I didn't realize when I bought it how much it costed to actually do any bodywork on chrome

Idk though I might have 2nd thoughts
