100%. I've had some shackle cars..2 main problems, Too much negative offset on the rear wheels, worn out springs, high school rear shackles ( dangerous on a hard swerve or corner.) Shocks will be the wrong stroke as well.
Change the rims, re-arch the springs to the height you need. Solved.
I have new springs on it, read the whole part as I moved to the highest point on the shackles.2 main problems, Too much negative offset on the rear wheels, worn out springs, high school rear shackles ( dangerous on a hard swerve or corner.) Shocks will be the wrong stroke as well.

68-70 B Bodies never liked 10" wide wheels. 8's look good.Moved mine back 3/4" 12 years ago to fit these 30" tall 17" tires...
Fix the wheel offset and you can lower it down some...

You read that part with I ordered new springs? Dose this look "gutted" to you? Asking for a friend.Putting some weight on the springs will flatten them out and make the front segment longer. Your car looks mostly gutted, I would avoid messing with the stance until it’s nearly complete. It will change a lot, especially with tired old springs…
These are 11" wide on the outside, 10" between the beads.68-70 B Bodies never liked 10" wide wheels. 8's look good.

Yes! That's a good look.built this when I was 15 had it ready to roll when I got my license, actually took it to my driving test [examiner wouldn't get in it], biggest shackles I could find, air shocks with 3" extentions,n50-14's on 14x10's and didn't know much about anything other than what I liked! old school yup and certainly not a sleeper look!
