Hello everyone does anyone know what color black is the closest match to the interior dash board black color .( Like above the instrument panel, under the dashpad) Could it be flat black, satten black, im sure its not semi gloss or gloss paint. This car is a survivor car so I do know the dash black color has not been repainted. Thanks

I used SEM Trim Black for my TX9 71 GTX. It was a flat to mild satin finish and it lays down real nice even out of a can. You can spray it from a gun or rattle can. I had my frame blasted and powder coated with an epoxy powder coat, then I filled a few areas of pitting with Metal-2-Metal, sanded, High Build Primer fill, then sanded a ton more, then sprayed a primer sealer, before final sand. The SEM stuff made a novice like me look good :)

Herbs parts has the exact paint in a can did my 67 GTX perfect match

My powder-coat guy has a perfect match.

Most factories used lacquer on interior parts because the colors appear flat unless buffed out.
