We are working on a 69 Coronet R/T as can be seen in the "members projects and restoration" forum, my question is, the hood we have for the car appears to be a 68 because it does not have the drop in front to match the grille. It has the power bulge in the center with the inserts that wrap around to the rear of the bulge, first, is this a "68 only" style or was it available on the 69 as well and second, do all the 69 Coronet hoods have the drop section for the grille? Thanks in advance for any input.

According to my Interchange, the 68 & 69 hood are the same.

2934367 68 R/T; 69 Single scoop (R/T & Superbee power Bulge) $136.25

Like 69Bee mentions, they are the same hood. '69 bulge hood was an option, like in '68. Also, the '69 hood (all of them) has a drop down removable lip that attaches with 6 or so screws. Pretty sure I have one floating around if you're needing one.

I would love to see a picture of it because there are no screw holes in the underside of this hood for something like that to attach to (which really means nothing here) but I am curious because my 69 GTX has the drop down section as part of the hood IE. not an added on piece. Thanks so much for the help so far.
