Its a automatic on column and it had a white stripe and repainted once. I'm in the Richmond area and the car came out of Appomattox and was bought from Blackwell dodge in Danville Va. I replaced all the brake lines, rebuilt the front end, put new carpet and interior. Here are some more pictures.
Also, does it have any of the original dealer emblems or decals?
Those are some very historic towns, would be cool to see a Danville or Appomattox emblem on an old Bee
I don't have a build sheet, I found a little piece under the seat, so I think the mice ate it. the owner told me that when he went to buy the car he took home a 70 super bee with a 4 speed and had to take it back because of insurance company. He said the 70s were already coming into the dealership and this was on the truck when it came in. So I think its a late 69 car. I looked to see if how many of these car were built but not sure of the numbers? Only thing I have is the original sale receipt when he bought it. $3625.05 on 9/12/1969.
WOW! That's a find of a lifetime! Can we see some more before & after pics. I can only imagine the cloud of dust behind you as you took it home. I was born in Danville back in 69 so this makes it even cooler to me.
Dialing it down to the A40 option on WM21 cars, there are only 69 units built with the T85 (red wall) tires and 427 with the T87 (raised white letter) tires. Looking at your dealer invoice, you appear to have one of the 69 T85 cars. You have a very nice car!! Sweet!!
I don't have anymore pictures, but you are right the leaves and dust that was coming off that car when I was going down the road was amazing. I had a lot of people giving the thumbs up and breaking there neck to look over at it. I even had a guy turn right at a stop light and stopped to stare at the car. Thanks Big D A12 for the information! Sorry here are couple more pictures.
