I'm having problems with my brake warning light indicator. When I depress the parking brake pedal it does not illuminate. I've checked the bulb, and the bulb is good.
What's the easiest approach to check this? Since I have a four-speed car, this is a concern to me as I may forget to pull off the parking brake and drive with it on. Sometimes you got a lot of things going on in your head and you may miss something.

It’s a switch on the parking brake assembly. Either switch is bad or ground, check and see if wire got pinched somewhere

The light switches on by ground while positive is constant. Parking brake switch coud be simply disconnected.

The brake fluid distributor also lights on that light on a brake fluid pressure failure. You could ground that wire too to check if light works and confirm is a switch wire failure or positive.

I found the problem. I removed the kick panel and the switch is missing the guts, it fell out and the wire is hanging there. A Duralast SW101 switch looks like it may be a direct replacement, and AutoZone has it for $6.99
