69 Charger General Lee or Not?

No General Lee.
Factory color or color of your choice.
No vinyl roof unless there is some overriding reason for it.
That can be asking for complications
Keep it simple.

It's your car. Build it your way. There are already more of them out there than they ever destroyed in the shows. LOL.
Yes, I love the Dukes as much as anyone else & have always wanted a G.L. clone myself. Would I build one? Probably not, but if the price was right I would buy one already done & still may someday.

Do a reverse general lee. Black with orange letters and numbers. Or paint it orange and get magnetic decals so you can remove them

If any one gives you dirty looks just do a huge burn out in front of them

Since you asked, I'll be brutally honest

I personally wouldn't do a General Lee clone
they're way over done IMO, not because of any
PC anti-South or Rebel Flag, Liberal/ANTIFA
or race-baiting & contrived hatred BS, some people are just clueless...
(albeit in some areas it may be an issue)
but;
if you did something like Kenny Wayne Sheperd did
but a different spin on it,
something not all the rest of "the massive clone crowd" does,
something to set it apart, from the thousands & thousands
of "cookie cutter" clones of the GL, yawn !!!
A Pro-Touring or Resto-Mod version would be cool...

If you do choose to do so,
you will get a lot of attention, wanted or not,
some good & probably some negative too,
"but be prepared for it"
IMO you will draw attention to your car & yourself...
I hope you consider that side of it too...
There's good & bad to it...

Just not another plain clone...
Don't get me wrong & I don't hate them at all...
& I loved the show, but the car & the clones
are way over done IMO, but I won't judge you for it...

you asked, so I was honest

But like most people here say;
"To each their own choices,
it's your car, build it how you want it,
use what ever color & scheme, parts that you desire
drive it like you stole it, enjoy it !!!
Who cares what other people think, anyway, it's not their car...

It's all good, to have a young guy,
get into the muscle car era cars, I commend you for that...

Good luck what ever you decide...

Hey if it’s what you always wanted then cool, clone away. It’s Not a bad choice to have to make. You already win, you have a freakin Charger!
As for me, I walk by General Lees and most numbers perfect restorations/ restomod/pro touring cars at shows. Too much “Jaz” for my simple taste. Seems like driver cars are finally gaining popularity. Easier on the budget too.
