Well I managed to get the shop cleaned up finally after the home improvements! Even spent a little time on the X. Got rev 2 of the idle solenoid on and also made sime washers for the stamped steel valve cover. All out of SS. Between the 12 pt small nuts and the stamped steel I figured it could use some help sealing the gaskets. If anyone wants a idle solenoid bracket I have extras. I used the holley one. A friend used the OEM style one from year one but it didn't last a year, so that's why I went this way. I have the phenolic spacers under the carbs so had to adjust accordingly. And make sure it cleared the outboard carb linkage.

G I'm doing it on my house! Gotta keep the safe house in good shape in case I need to use it! Besides the tax assessment on my house went up about 5K this past year so I thought by fixing it up a bit I'm getting it back. Next year it's new drive way. 4 years till I retire and I want everything done so I can play full time!

Oh I see!
4 years to retire...I'm ready now but maybe in another 20 years.

So I did manage to do a little something. Dug the vinyl top out to put in the sun to get the wrinkles out. Been in the box since 14 so hopefully it'll relax or I'll order a new one. I want to get that on before fall. With the 90+ temps I thought this would be my best chance of seeing if it will relax.

Thanks to Justin, I got my spring installed in my lower radiator hose. Not a lot of work but a baby step forward......

I put mine away from the radiator, towards the pump

Johnny, not sure what your asking? I put the formed hose over the rolled bead on the radiator about 1.5 inches and put the spring clamp just in front of the bead. Is that what your asking?

I looked through my pictures but didn't have any of the lower hose.
Also I'd say about 80% of the wrinkles are out of the vinyl for the top yesterday. These 90+ sunny days sure get a black top hot. Think I'll hit it with the temp gun just to see what ir measure compared to a light color. My 69 RR that was this color had a white top, never to late to change my mind.

Lay it on the top of your cars roof it will flatten out especially with a little heat....It needs to relax a bit after being in the sun...
