Don't worry Justin I'll be back and on the car Sunday!

I am looking forward to see a full pic of this on your X!

I like the idea.....[/QUOTE
I'm not sure if I will like the chin spoiler or not. I had made one for my first RR. It should help with cooling a little. We'll see, but I for sure like the eyebrows!

So say hello to my old friend. This is the door off my first RR. I had replaced them with fiberglass one when I was racing it in the 80s. I dug it out to help me to remember how to put the windows back in. I was able to put a few parts off both my previous 69 RRs on this car. Something old, something new, and something borrowed.

I was suprised how hot it got in 5 minutes. I'm thinking I may put some more insulation in the roof & sail panel area!

So for my hunting friends, my trip to Georgia last week for the pig hunt. Sorry the pictures aren't better. We shot 8 between the 2 of us. He was using a bow and got 3. I used my .450 bushmaster and went 5/5. Could of shot a lot more but that was enough. It was a good time. Also saw where the military plane went down in Savanah. Sad.
Anyway I knew 3wood & Sherman would want proof of my trip. 2500 miles in 4 days plus hunting about wore my butt out, but worth it!

Great! looks like you are set for pork for the year. Lots of travailing and lots of fun.
Speaking of long distance travailing, My son and I are going up to Montana next week bear hunting.

Nice haul!!! I have always wanted to do a night hunt using a thermal scope. ....someday.

It puts some added thrill when you can'take see your prey at night!

So thanks for Justin for keeping me motivated! So every other weekend we camping in the summer. Great for relaxing, but not for getting things done. So I've tried to take some items along to work on. My latest is the grille. As you can see they did a hack job of putting the emblem on the grille!

I had a pic of the back but deleted it while trying to post it :BangHead:

The back side the channel were nearly full of fiberglass!. So I got that clean out. I used a cutoff wheel on the dremel and air grinder to remove it.

I had to hand sand the resin runs on the outside flats of the grill. Going to have to make some repairs to hold the GTX emblem. Here is what it is supposed to look like.

This will be the grill I'm going to use. But I thought I'd repair the old one, and practice my painting on it before doing the good one. I'll sell the old one as a driver piece when done and hopefully cover my paint costs for both. So if anyone is looking for one I'll give you first shot here before I advertise it.
So I'll work on building the tabs in the old grill while camping and maybe a couple other small items I can drag along.
I'm waiting on front armrests from Year One so I can get some interior parts painted. Also looking for the chrome ignition switch nut, mines crappy.

So I was wondering through the local hardware store looking for something to make the pieces that hold the GTX emblem in the grill. I found these.

looks pretty similar to the oem piece.
So I installed my new emblem to see how it fit on the good grill, for location.

It's a tight fit top to bottom. I also measured the G stud is .6 from the edge on the grill.
