Hi all. I am getting ready to start removing the dash from my roadrunner to replace the harness. Anyone have any suggestions or things to avoid? I am a retired diesel mechanic. So tools and ability aren't an issue. Thank you Patrick

What do you mean by the “dash”. The cluster, or the entire metal dash frame. For the latter you need to remove the windshield as there are bolts under the rubber gasket.

Does the car have factory A/C or just a heater? I’d leave the entire dash in the car and replace the harness from inside the car. Saves much time.

As stated above, to remove the actual dash you need to first remove the windshield.

If not, it will be a chore unless you at least take out the front seats so you can comfortably lie on your back. Removing the cluster is a pain so I'd leave that in place - its primarily powered by the main round connector so that's no big deal. Likewise with the switch panel - taking that out is a pain too and pretty much all those have simple connectors.
