anymore pics, are the rusty inside the covers?

I didn't think the '70's had any plug wire brackets welded on the top rear and intake side (middle) of the driver's cover, just on the passenger cover. 72 Blue's do??

The passenger cover does appear to be a '70 though.

they do have some rust on the inside, guy i got them from said they came off a 70 440,but who knows,i just wanted the heads, been sitting in a storage unit for 20 years

Plug wire tabs on drivers cover is 70 C body... A few minutes with a die grinder solves that issue....

The first run of AMD covers had issues with the bolt holes... Newer ones have been fine... The current ones are actually very nice...

How much and do you have pictures? The reason I asked is because 70 was different than 69 and the 71 year model. Thanks

I have the original 383 for my project car, Jigsaw. I have the original valve covers but am going to use cast aluminum ones. These are the best pictures I have at the moment.

I went out back and took a few pictures.

Drivers side is pretty simple, right?

Right side is a LOT busier!

Those are correct 70 covers but the busy right side cover has an extra plug wire bracket behind the breather that should be removed... A few minutes with a grinder & a little caution so as to not damage the cover & your good to go...
Better yet if your careful, remove it & reattach it in the proper position....

I'm guessing Gregs Charger is an L code? Since the plug with bracket is positioned for non HP manifold wire routing..

383 2 barrel. I have the sequence number memorized but not the 5th digit.
