Hey guys i found a good deal on a 70' 440HP+727+8 3/4 rear only problem is it's from a 70' Newyorker. My question is, Does anyone know if the rear end is too short or wide to drop in(Or would that be raise in :)) I read the new yorker wheel base is 8" longer so i assume the driveshaft would need replaced? Is that all? Is there any changes in look from a 69' or a 70' 440? Not that i really care at this point but it would be nice if it looked correct.
Thanks,
~Nick

The rear end is too wide and you will need a driveshaft or get that one shorten. What type of b body and what engine is in it now?

It would be going in my 69' Satellite 318,727,8 1/4" rear.

Yes it will drop right in engine, trans rear end too wide, driveshaft get shorted or get new one.Wiring harness dist, coil will be too short.

Thanks, Just curious how much wider do you think the rear is? I believe i have somewhere around 2" of space between the tire and quaters on both sides, just not sure how wide the new yorkers are. I didn't think about the harness is there much different on a big blocks?

I know it will be too wide. You can find the b body rear end for about $100.00-$150.00.The only different should be the lenght on the wires. You can sell the chrysler rear end.
