Hey everyone, first time posting here. If I didn't post this in the appropriate section let me know!

I'm dropping the drive train back in a 70 charger SE to take on the power tour this year. I have a 70 440 that will be going in place of the 340 that was recently removed for our 72 challenger.

I ran the vin a minute ago and turns out it came with a slant from the factory. From what I understand, there were 3 K-members used in these cars; slant 6, LA/B, and hemi's. This has me wondering if the K member has been changed.

Was it possible to use an LA with a slant 6 K-member? The reason I ask is that the motor mount brackets look too narrow for a big block.. I will more than likely be attempting to stab the 440 in it sometime next week , and would like to know for sure if it is going to fit.

Seems that a slant 6 would be associated with a base model, but the vin shows it to be a "Premium", and the badges show it is an SE. Might be a rare combo.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to double post, but I misread the vin. It has a G instead of a C.. Not one of 77 made afterall.. It's a 318 car.

The 70 440 with the proper big block mounts will sit right in place of the 318.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. A quick look at the Superbee confirmed that they were the same, and it sat in just fine. It's running now, but not drive able yet.

Thanks for your replies!
