Looking for a new clear windshield for my 70, not worried about date code.

I'm in Maryland, checked Classic and they want almost 3X the cost of the windshield to truck ship to me, unfortunately their free shipping deal doesn't apply.

Anyone have a source closer to me? Any vendors that go to Carlisle that might bring it there to save on shipping?

Appreciate any suggestions.
Thx

Contact a local Glass Installer, and not Satellite.. Go to a local shop and see if they have a Glass Guy they use and call them to see if they can source it for you... My Guy could get the Glass, just not the Wagon's seal.. That was pricey..

It shouldn't be that hard to find. The same glass fits all 1966-70 B body coupes. ALL Chargers, all Coronets and Belvedere/GTXs that are not wagons or 2 door post models, right?

Wagons are their own beasts, you have Coupes, Convertibles, 4 DRs, and then Wagons, (Mostly because Wagons were the same from 66-70)

Local glass shop. Find someone experienced. Part number for a 70 bbody 2 Dr coupe is DW715. Not sure if clear is a option thru the glass warehouses anymore. You will have to ask . I got green tint, blue shade from pilkington, 4/5 years ago.

Clarification: One windshield (tinted or clear) for All 2-Door *post/hard top/sports hardtop*. One windshield (tinted or clear) for convertibles. One windshield (tinted or clear, but note that tinted disappears from 69 and 70??) for 4-doors and wagons. Also note that all part numbers remain consistent throughout. FWIW

Thank you. I knew that the 4 door, wagon and convertibles were approximately 2" taller than the 2 door cars but I thought that the post roof cars also had a taller windshield. It is that way with the 67-69 A body cars.

I had a buddy who works at a local glass shop order me a new tinted windshield for my 70 Roached Runner. He came out with it, installed it and even installed my rear window which I already owned while he was here. All for $300.00.

Thanks for the suggestions! Will try a few more local places, funny couldn't find a listing for a windshield on Jegs.
Thx

they may have quit carrying them. Used to live near them and remember picking it up at their warehouse in Delaware ohio

Check with Stephen's Performance.
I have purchased AMD quarters and other parts from them in the past. If you pay in advance Ted will bring them to the Mopar events they attend and doesn't charge extra. Of course he goes to Carlisle.
Can't beat free shipping on a pair of quarter panels!

I got an AMD windshield along some other parts from them in a road trip I made to them & Bouchillon Performance 2 years ago. Haven't installed it yet.

I checked with AMD on their windshield thickness. It is thicker than PPG which I have, but not as thick as factory. Bought a Precision w/s gasket. Installed yesterday. Will find out at sometime if it leaks.
