Can anyone tell me, on a 70 b body, in my case a Coronet R/T, how do the two exhaust tip brackets attach to the rear frames? I just have two frozen in broken "studs"- or, really, are they two threaded inserts into which the attaching bolts thread?( in my case, two frozen, broken rusted bolts frozen into these threaded holes)
Can anyone shed some light on this ?
Thanks!

You need two of these

The tip with the tab bent 90 degrees catches in a coresponding hole in the side of the frame and the one bolt in the bottom of the frame through the hole.

Hi Beekeeper! Thanks for the reply. I have the exact brackets you show, but--- what holds them to the frame rail? My guess is a bolt, And, is there a female threaded hole ( threaded insert crimped in)in the frame rail to receive the bolt? Again, this is my guess.

That's where they go, there was something there for me to thread the bolts into but I don't remember what.

There's a clip that goes there that has the threads in it. They are called "U" nuts
you will need a 3/8" I believe
