70 Coronet Grille Question

Just happen to have one on my desk. 5 3/8" long, 11/16" high, and mounting studs are 3 7/8" ctc.

My R/T also has the dodge badge on the drivers grille, but it has been mostly restored so cannot comment on whether it came off the line that way. Mine has a slight warp at the bottom so i too am in the market for a good replacement.

Is your grille black or argent?

So far no one has produced any factory info showing that R/Ts should have the badge. Anyone have original or factory pictures to offer?

My assumption is that the grilles have been replaced and that installers incorrectly followed the collision book and installed the name plate on cars that should not have it.
 
Below is a pic of my grille with the badge. I am looking to see if I can find info on what came of the factory floor.
