Both my turn signal lights on the hood won't light. I was told the grounding is a problem but a restoration fellow said they may be the bulbs. He said when you try to unscrew that small housing thet usually break or snap off.
He said the replacement ones on the market are junk. Has anyone had this issue. My GTX is an original survivor so I'm trying to fix the original OEM lights.
Thanks much. Fred

I’ve had great luck with PG Classics lenses and sockets in my original chrome housings

NOS ones are out there on the usual places but pricey

Grounding can be a problem...
The hood lites are grounded through the hinges and often there is a poor connection due to paint and/or oxidation.
I had that issue and simply installed a jumper ground link to the hood.
Key point is to make sure U are getting the 12V through existing wires.
Also it is EZ to lift off the hood assembly and double check the wires, sockets and bulbs.

Just my $0.02...

To avoid any further issues with bulbs unscrewing and some lite dielectric grease to the threads when installing sockets back on. Thats what I did with the new ones.

Mine was the ground. Excess paint from restoration and I had erratic operation of the bulbs. Works perfect now.

Anyone have any pics of the wire routing under the hood for the turn signals? Got mine in and working. Just wanted to see how others ran the wiring. Any help appreciated.

I bought a packet of those lamps from RS Components about 25 years ago - they are awesome.

And the suggestion above about di-electric grease is a good one.
