Wondering about the bolts holding the dashboard. I am going to need to remove but am hearing that there are screws in the windshield channel holding the dash in place - means removing the glass ? My windshield is in great shape, but want to do some dash work.

Is there a diagram that shows the screws that need to be removed to take out the dashboard?

there are 5 screws along the top of the dash under the windshield gasket. The best way to remove them is remove the windshield. If your just hell bent against removing the windshield you can get under the dash with a cutoff wheel and cut the screws and pry the gasket up enough to get the head of the screws out. to reinstall you need new clips and bolts. Install the clips backwards and cut the new screws off just enough where they don't protrude into the gasket and put them in from under the dash.

The windshields always leak, and so the best thing to do is to is remove it and then you'll see the rust on the dash. Now you can fix it and re-paint. Note" DON'T remove the V.I.N. tag rivets as they are next to impossible to get!! (unless you've got connections) Good Luck!
