So, just to play devil's advocate, what is the real difference with a 70 RR that came with the factory option of N96 or one that was converted to an N96 after it left the factory?
It's all in what you are looking for. According to Coronetrt's numbers, roughly 1 in 5 cars had the air grabber option from the factory. I would bet if you go to a car show now 2 out of 3 cars will have an air grabber. That's cool - I like them.
I think the original question was how many were made with the 383 engine. Does it matter? Not really, unless you have an original 383 air grabber car and you are curious how many of them were made. If they are very rare, that COULD translate into greater value for of the car (although in this case I am not sure it does). You may not think there is too much difference between a 71 Cuda convertible with a HEMI from the factory vs. one that was cloned, but the market sure as heck does...
