So I bought a woodgrain 70 wheel off of FB. Thinking of getting it restored. Will it work on a 71 column? Is there a way to identify a steering shaft thats in a car?

why do you have a 71 column?
Last owner bought it that way and I have not changed it out. on the Bee. Steering wheel locks on the 71. Dont have the linkage for the 70 column to lock.
My expirence is one year only
I think it may work since a '70 Column uses the same tuff wheel adaptor as a '71...
I just didnt know if the spline count is different then all the other years. I believe wheels from 68/69 interchange and 71-74 I though interchange.
