Woodgrain should have fold over tabs that go through a plastic backer that attaches in the usual way

The backing plate for the overlay should have small metal tabs. These metal tabs go through slots in the plastic bezel and fold over. This holds the two parts together.
All 5 pieces of dash trim are assembled in the same way.

Yes I do know about the tabs on the bezels. My question was the factory one is 2 pieces of metal and is splitting, didnt know if the factory glued or 2 way taped them. 2nd picture.

My main gauge bezel is 3 pieces, bezel and two metal pieces. Never notice this when I installed the decals on the old one.
