70RR bucket seat track question.

Bought these new tracks for my 70 RR bucket seats.
The wire going between the rail latches is so long it doesn’t release the inner rail latch. Seems like I’m missing a tensioner or something to take up the slack. Can’t find it in my FSM.
Any help is appreciated.

You are correct. There’s a small “weak looking” piece of metal folded over itself you’re missing. It “kinda sorta” looks like the seat tag seen in your picture. The release wire goes inside the “fold” of the missing piece. The two ends of that piece have holes and loop over a “curly Q” piece of seat frame that on the front edge of the seat frame, underneath, dead center

One side, driver’s I believe, has the short one. Right side you’ll need the longer one. I just did mine
