70s street machines "Can You Dig It"

Isn't that Linda with the Gratiot auto supply shirt.....My brothers used to take me there all the time when I was a kid...then sneak me out at nite for some Saturday nite street racing...I always wondered what the funny smell was when they said "wait here I be rite back"

I don't recall seeing roll backs in the 70's....maybe late 70's but by then, the hot rod scene was mostly vans.

Ouch - this one hurts:

Pretty neat. I see my old black '70 GTX is on it - a pic I put on FBBO.

Challenge accepted...lol

Where I grew up, the street rod scene lasted into the 80's and was on the leading edge of the "resurgence" of the late 80s and early 90s.

Lots of folks at my high school (83-86) had 60s and 70s cars with big cragars in the back, some with custom paint and/or bodywork. There were two farly well known custom rod shops in town, as well.

I can dig it for sure! What I wouldn't give to open up some barn doors and find one of those relics...well most of them anyway! Thanks Jay!
