FOR SALE 71’ 383 warranty motor

I have a complete 71’ 383 warranty motor.
Turquoise block
date coded 11-17-70
The VIN pad is machined but doesn’t have a vin stamped into it.

This motor was from a 67’ Newport
The motor was replaced under dealer warranty in 71’

It is a complete motor from oil pan to intake manifold.

The motor is full of sludge from not changing the oil.
It will definitely need a rebuild and I can’t say if it would need anything beyond bearings in the bottom end.
The cylinder walls look good and the cam lobs are not wiped out so that’s a good sign.

I was thinking $800 would be fair since it’s not in running shape but is also a chance to get a date code motor with no VIN.

It’s on a pallet and I also have a 727 that I could include if needed.

I’m not particularly interested in shipping but I will if someone deals with all the logistics.
I have pallets and a fork lift in my garage but it’s a residential address so no dock.

Cylinder heads and intake are not pictured but I have them on a shelf in my shop.

Yep, the tag is mostly broken off the rivet.
There is a chance that I have the tag somewhere. This motor has been under a bench in my shop since the early 80s so hopefully it’s around. I’ll keep an eye out for it.
