I am surprised that the figment isn’t better. I mean, it is not terrible but, it should be a one size fits all application. All the hood stamping should be darn near exactly the same. I looked into the fiberglass repo’s, then decided I could make my mangled, real deal, louvers to look good. It wasn’t easy, but it turned out real good
Several parts are back ordered for my roadrunner so I’m trying to work this project in. The 440 in this one is pretty mild and it would be a better fit in my wagon so I pulled it out and this guy is going in after the transmission gets pulled. 505 with 440 Source lightweight rotating assembly, Trick Flow top end kit, Comp Cams XR280HR hydraulic roller retrofit cam, Harland Sharp roller rockers and the typical exterior goodies. The transmission is getting swapped to an upgraded 727 with a GV unit I picked up used. The 3500 stall was a bit much for my preference so a Hughes 2500 stall is going in as well. It’s a little tight for this cam according to reviews but hopefully better street manners.
Bolted up the trans when I got home tonight. Before I hook everything up and put the crossmember in I’m going to bolt the gear vendor unit on the housing and check for floor pan clearance.
